Just wanted to do a quick post. I’ve decided to do a pretty big show at the end of September. The Vermont Fine Furniture, Woodworking and Forest Festival. The show is held in Woodstock, VT and is on the weekend of September 27th and 28th. I will have a 10’x10′ booth setup with all of the bowls that I own, almost 20 new pens that I’ve turned in the past week, and a few pieces of furniture. There will be a lot of work by some very talented VT craftsman, some demos and food for lunch. So, If you’re not doing anything, come check out the show and enjoy the town of Woodstock, which is beautiful that time of year. I will keep you all posted with any new work and updates.
Just a quick update. The Wine and Harvest Festival at Mount Snow in Dover, VT this past weekend was a great success. My booth setup was one of the nicest setups I’ve ever had and it paid off. I received many compliments. Below is a picture of the booth. Just a heads up, I will be doing another show next weekend, September 28th and 29th, in Woodstock, VT. The show is the annual Furniture festival. I will have my writing desk as well as several bowls and pens there on display. Following that I will be doing Oktoberfest at Mount Snow in Dover, VT, October 12, and 13.
I am working on some neat projects in the shop so stay posted for updates!
I participated in the Jeffersonville, VT art festival today. What a great show with a lot of very talented artist. It was nice meeting new people and what a beautiful day too. Here’s a quick pic of the booth
On a sad note, my grandfather passed away today. He contributed a ton to my life and the beginnings of my woodworking adventures. He built 15 Adirondack guideboats in his lifetime and numerous pieces of furniture. I feel lucky to own one of his boats and will cherish it for many years to come. I hope to someday build as many boats as he has done.
Coming up this weekend, April 19th-21st, TJGwoodworking will have several pieces of my work in Burlington College’s “Gumbo” show which features work of many different mediums. Come check it out if you’re in Vermont and in the area. I’ll be displaying two tables and several bowls.
